About Emily

Emily Chatelain is a proud native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She recently graduated from Tulane University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BSM in Management. 


Emily performed in her first musical, Babes in Arms, at a summer theatre camp when she was nine years old. Her love of the stage has endured ever since. 


In high school, Emily studied Musical Theatre  at New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA). There, she received four years of conservatory-style training in dance, acting, and music. 


As an undergraduate, Emily was an active participant in Tulane’s Musical Theatre Workshop productions. Notable credits include Into the Woods (Lucinda) and The Rocky Horror Show (Columbia). She was also a regular Summer Lyric Theatre company member, understudying for the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie during the company's 2016 Season. 

Emily recently booked her first film role in the Netflix's THE PERFECT DATE, starring Noah Centineo  (ABC Family’s The Fosters) and Laura Marano (Disney Channel’s Austin and Ally).


Emily now resides in New York City, where she plans to take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities the city has to offer, including auditioning, training, experiencing live theatre!
